French label Balenciaga is known for its modern, cutting-edge designs, which often come with eye-watering price tags to match.
But its current line, it would appear that the luxury fashion house has sought inspiration from a very unlikely place - having created what is quite literally a high-vis jacket... And not a cheap one at that.
The 'men's reversible parka' is being sold on the Balenciaga website, with a product description listing its colour as 'neon yellow'.

Along with its vibrant hue and reflective panels, the jacket also features the letters BLNCG on the back along with a large logo, with a smaller version of the branding on the front.
While there are two sizes to choose from - French sizes 44 and 46; the equivalent of extra small and small - as is true to form with a classic high-vis jacket, the garment is 'oversize fit'.
Other features of the bold item include its 'cocoon shape', 'black contrasting lining', two 'slash pockets', a 'concealed zipped closure with snaps' and even a 'foldable hood with drawstrings'.

As if all that isn't exciting enough, the jacket is also completely reversible, meaning you technically get two coats for the price of one.
That's pretty fortunate, given the coat is listed on the Balenciaga website for an eye-watering £2,890 ($4,000).
Thankfully, however, express shipping is free and takes just 1-3 working days - although Balenciaga states services are experiencing some additional delays due to Brexit.

Made in Italy, the outerwear also boasts what's known as 'technical ripstop' - ripstop fabrics being materials that use special reinforcing techniques to stop them tearing and ripping, which is the last thing you want when you've forked out several thousands of pounds on a coat.
Funnily enough, it's not even the first time Balenciaga has channelled 'construction worker' realness with its designs.
Back in April, the luxury brand unveiled a similarly garish garment for its 'Winter 21 pre-collection'.

One person commented: "I think your ads are lost. There is a woman in some guys XXXL construction jacket promoted on my feed for like 1000 dollars."
Another wrote: "So hi-viz is a fashion statement now? When are they bringing out the rail track collection in day-glo orange please?"
Someone else responded with a stock photograph of a lollipop person, while another had the same idea, asking: "Why is she wearing a crossing guard outfit?"
One other person agreed: "Wanna look like a lollipop lady for your 1st official night out? F***ing state of that outfit."
