In news that really is something of nothing, a British Airways flight was apparently hit by a drone as it began landing at Heathrow Airport.

Whoa, right?!

An investigation has since been launched to find out exactly what the object was that struck the Airbus A320 as it came into the airport at around 1pm this afternoon.

The flight was coming in from Geneva, Switzerland, with 132 passengers and five crew on board. Thankfully it landed safely and no one was hurt.

Engineers then examined the plane and it was cleared for it next flight. People who use drones should really stick to drone racing, it's way more exciting...

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "A pilot on an inbound flight into Heathrow Airport from Geneva reported to police that he believed a drone had struck the aircraft. It transpired that an object, believed to be a drone, had struck the front of the aircraft. No arrests have been made and enquiries continue."

Great. Back to your lives everyone.
