Police in New York have launched an investigation after a car drove through supporters at a Black Lives Matter march last night.
Footage shared on social media shows a black car driving through a crowd of demonstrators.

In the clip, several people on bicycles can be seen standing in front of the car - seemingly trying to block it - before the car slowly moves forward. The driver then accelerates into the crowd, while terrified bystanders scream and attempt to dodge out of the way.
The vehicle stops a little further up the road as people rush towards it, but the driver then puts their foot down and speeds off.
On Twitter, the New York Police Department has said it is investigating the incident and has confirmed that the vehicle is not a police vehicle, following rumours that it was an unmarked NYPD car.
As yet authorities have not identified the driver.
Speaking to Gothamist, eyewitness Qaaree McDaniel said: "I saw people getting hit, so I'm trying to get out of the way. Luckily, I made it out just in time, but the car hit my bike, and my bike hit both of my legs."

Several New York City officials have condemned the footage online and urged police to find the driver responsible.
NYC Council Speaker Corey Johnson wrote: "This video shows an incredibly reckless and disturbing action through a lawful protest. We must get to the bottom of it. We need accountability."
Council member Keith Powers tweeted: "Using a vehicle to hurt peaceful protestors is unacceptable and must be stopped."
While Senator Brad Hoylman said: "We have asked the City directly as to the identity of the driver and its investigation. Noting yet. We will share what we learn."

Hundreds of people had gathered in Times Squares following the death of Daniel Prude, a black man who was suffocated to death while in police custody.
Prude was left brain dead on 23 March and was taken off life support seven days later.
