Carole Baskin has spoken out after she was tricked into thinking she was being interviewed by Jimmy Fallon.

A video emerged over the weekend, which showed the Tiger King doc star Baskin purportedly giving her first interview since the series aired on Netflix.

However, it turned out that rather than having a chat with the popular late night host Fallon, she was being pranked by YouTubers Josh Pieters and Archie Manner.

Well, the wildlife conservationist has now had her say on the joke, and it's surprisingly zen.

In a statement released to Entertainment Tonight, Baskin said: "I was suspicious as we were doing it because the questions appeared taped. But had no idea it would turn out to be such a fun prank.

Carole has responded to her fake Jimmy Fallon interview.

"It gave us a very welcome good laugh ... I appreciate their cleverness and that they created their video in a way that I don't feel was in any way mean spirited."

Considering what a chump they made her look, I think she's taken it pretty well.

If you missed the whole fake interview, here's what happened.

Basically, Pieters and Manner tricked Baskin into taking part in a series where they pretend to get celebrities interviewed by chat show hosts - when really they're hiding behind the guise of a fake production company and using a soundboard with clips of talk show hosts asking questions to real celebrities.

Making the Tiger Queen, big cat advocate Carole's first broadcast interview, the pair reassured her that they would not speak about Netflix or Tiger King, and Carole joked she didn't want to be introduced as 'that b**** Carole Baskin'.

You can watch the whole thing, here:

They explained the logisitics behind their trick, which involves the interviewee speaking into a webcam, while they make an excuse for the reason behind them not seeing the host themselves - something along the lines of 'they're being filmed with proper NBC cameras'.

They first get Carole to 'check the sound' by reeling off cats she looks after, and then she goes straight into the 'interview'.

Carole explains that her daughter wanted her to do the interview - I bet she regrets that now - and said that they are all together still caring for the cats. The pair even get her to do her famous: "Hey all you cool cats and kittens" intro.

And people loved it.

Commenting on the video, one viewer said: "This is literally the most impressive thing I've ever seen."

While another added: "I didn't think they could top the Katie Hopkins prank..."
