Multimillionaire MMA fighter Conor McGregor has narrowly avoided jail and been fined €1,000 (£860 / $1,100) after pleading guilty to punching a man in the face in Dublin earlier this year.
The ex-UFC fighter, who worth about £85 million ($110m), was told to pay the money when he admitted to hitting Desmond Keogh, who is in his 50s, in the Marble Arch pub in April.
McGregors' lawyers said Mr Keogh has already been paid compensation and accepted an apology from the fighter. Mr Keogh didn't appear in court and no victim impact statement was sent.

However, McGregor apologised in his latest court appearance to both Mr Keogh and the judge, and was then allowed to leave.
CCTV footage of the incident showed McGregor hitting Mr Keogh in the face on 6 April while he was out promoting his drink brand Proper No. Twelve Whiskey.
The video shows McGregor offering shots to a group of men sitting at the bar, then when one of them refuses to take the drink, he lashes out at him.

On 11 October, McGregor appeared in court over the case, before it was adjourned to look further into the CCTV footage.
He was then remanded on bail.
Conor McGregor retired from MMA in March this year, but has already confirmed his comeback fight, which is set to take place in Las Vegas in January.
He's also said he wants to fight a load of other people, including 50 Cent after the rapper made fun of the mixed martial artist in a series of Instagram posts.

The Irishman hit out at the 'Candy Shop' singer - who he thought had become a friend following the promotion for the Mayweather fight last year - because of a set of memes which mocked him.
In one of the posts, Fiddy superimposed the Notorious's head onto the body of Britney Spears in a photo of her during the infamous umbrella attack.
The caption read: "Is that you Britney. LOL."

Never one to take this kind of thing lying down, McGregor went in on his former ally and called him out.
Explaining the story behind their beef, McGregor said he'd had enough of him posting memes about the fighter on Instagram, adding: "So I'd like to have a knock-off with 50 yeah, so if you're listening 50, let's get it going bud."
