Costa Is Giving Away Free Coffee Next Week

Coffee fans, you're in luck this week; Costa has announced that it will be giving away free drinks for a whole day next week.

On Tuesday, the company will make all of its Express machines completely free to use for everyone. They will remain that way for a whole 24 hours, so fill your boots while you can.

The offer does exclude Northern Ireland machines, but everyone else will be able to pick whatever they want from the machines, picking from Americano, Latte, Espresso and Cappuccino, or even just a good old hot chocolate.

The Express machines don't take money as it is, so you'll be able to make any changes you want, including extra shots of coffee and syrups.

With over 8,500 machines in the country, the offer will kick off at quarter past 12 on Tuesday 1 October.

There literally is no catch but the company are encouraging people to sign up their 'Coffee Club' app. When purchasing your free drink, make sure you remember to scan the app - everyone that does on Tuesday will be entered into a prize draw. The top prize is free Costa Coffees for a whole year.

To add to that, if you're new to the app you will also get 100 loyalty points. This means you get a full £1 towards another free coffee. Just make sure you sign up to it before Monday 30 September.

Managing Director, Scott Martin at Costa Express said: "The coffee industry is booming with no sign of our love affair with the drink slowing, as it's estimated 95 million cups are consumed a day.

"However, for years, self-serve drinks machines have carried a certain stigma. Freeze-dried coffee, long life milk, clumpy soups and bland hot chocolate were readily stocked in machines across the late nineties and early noughties, so we can imagine how one poor experience is enough to put someone off for life!

"We at Costa Express don't believe this is acceptable and have worked tirelessly to revolutionise the self-serve experience. Our machines serve the same fresh signature Mocha Italia coffee beans and fresh semi-skimmed milk you would expect in our Costa Coffee stores, so the quality of your experience is never compromised.

"We're so confident that once you've tried a cup from Costa Express that it'll fast become a regular part of your routine, so for one day only, we're giving away a free drink to all."
