Court Of Appeal Has Rejected Cardinal George Pell's Bid For Freedom

Disgraced Cardinal George Pell's appeal against his sentence has been dismissed by the Court of Appeal.

The Catholic Church's former third highest ranking member was sentenced earlier this year to six years behind bars for sexually abusing two choir boys.

His minimum term was set at be three years and eight months.

Pell immediately launched an appeal, hoping to either get the sentence reduced, have the case go back to trial or be exonerated.

Well, the Court of Appeal has decided to reject his appeal and his sentence and conviction remains in tact.
