A dad allegedly murdered his daughter's boyfriend after discovering that he had sold her to a sex trafficking gang.
John Eisenman, from Spokane, US, haș now been charged with first-degree murder of Aaron Sorensen.
The 60-year-old was arrested after the bound and gagged body of Sorensen was discovered in the boot of an abandoned car on East Everett Avenue in Spokane last month.
Police have since said it's believed the 19-year-old was killed by the father in November last year following a dispute over his daughter.
According to reports, Eisenman had found out a month earlier that Sorensen had sold his daughter to a sex trafficking ring in Seattle for $1,000.
After rescuing his daughter and taking her home, it's alleged that Eisenman tracked Sorensen down to an address in Airway Heights and waited for him to return.
He then allegedly ambushed the teenager and stabbed him to death.
A statement by police said: "During that encounter Eisenman abducted the victim, tying him up and placing him in the trunk of a vehicle.
"Eisenman subsequently assaulted the victim by hitting him in the head with a cinder block and then stabbed him repeatedly, causing his death.
"After the homicide, Eisenman drove the vehicle to a remote area in North Spokane County and abandoned the car with the body still inside."
The dad allegedly dumped the car in the countryside, where it remained until someone drove it and abandoned it on East Everett Avenue.
Sorensen's body was then found - bound and gagged and with puncture marks on his clothing - after the group looked through the car.
Police have since said they don't believe they had any idea there was a body in the back when they took the car.
Speaking to KHQ-TV, Amber Hellmann: "They [her partner and friend] were just looking around and for some reason, they decided to look in the trunk and all I hear is, 'There's a body'."
The vehicle, a 1991 Honda Accord, reportedly belonged to Eisenman's fiancée Brenda Kross.
During their investigation, police went to their address and were met by Eisenman, who opened the door and told officers that the car had been stolen in 2020.
Kross reportedly told detectives that their underage daughter had been sex trafficked by Sorensen, and that she and Eisenman went to Seattle to rescue her.
Police said Eisenman has no prior history of violence and was cooperative with officers during his arrest.
He is currently being held on a $1 million bond.
