Doctor Larry Nassar has been sentenced to 175 years in prison, following a trial for sexual assaults on more than 150 women and girls spanning two decades.
Judge Rosemarie Aquilina told the former US Olympic gymnastics doctor: "I just signed your death warrant. I find that you don't get it, that you're a danger, that you remain a danger."
In total, 156 women took to the stand to directly confront Nassar, many choosing to speak without anonymity to their attacker.

Nassar had pleaded guilty to 10 counts of sexual assault for abusing young girls, under the guise of medical treatment.
Speaking after hearing his victims' harrowing testimony, Nassar had said: "Your words these past several days, your words, have had a significant emotional effect on myself and has shaken me to my core.
"I also realise what I'm feeling pales in comparison.
"I will carry your words with me for the rest of my days."

However, Judge Aquilina read from a letter written by the doctor last week in which he said: "What I did in the state cases was medical, not sexual, but because of the [federal porn conviction] I lost all credibility.
"So I'm trying to avoid a trial to save the stress to my community, my family. But look what's happening. It's wrong."
He then moved on to write about his victims, saying: " I was a good doctor, because my treatments worked and those patients that are now speaking out were the same ones that praised and came back over and over.
"The media convinced them that it was wrong and bad."

Before adding: "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned."
In his letter, Nassar had also said the victims 'are seeking the media attention and financial reward'.
As well as sexual assault charges, Nassar has a 60-year prison sentence for possessing child pornography.
