Scotland voted to stay IN the EU by a large margin, with all 32 councils voting to remain and with an overall figure of 68 percent in, and 32 percent out.
So, it's fair to say, Scotland vehemently wanted to remain a part of the European Union, and Trump's tweet was misinformed at best.
He's currently in Scotland to reopen one of his golf courses.

Comedian Sue Perkins had this to say to him.
Others were equally as unimpressed.
While Scottish National Party MP Joan McAlpine also pointed out what he so clearly missed when he started typing on his tweet.
