An erect penis will be shown for the first time ever on British television tonight.
Me and My Penis will air on Channel 4 this evening (31 August) and will show footage of eight erections as it aims to break the taboo surrounding the male sex organ.
The show will include a number of interviews with men discussing issues they have, from a former police officer who can't drive a car without becoming aroused to a trans man who talks of his fear of female puberty.

One of the men involved in the programme is a former soldier who lost his legs and suffered a severe injury to his genitals while carrying out a bomb disposal in Afghanistan.
He says: "Strangely, when I was told I had lost my testicles I just, metaphorically, shrugged my shoulders. I couldn't grieve straight away, but later on I did. Sometimes I would be in a horny mood and have nothing I could do about that."
The series is headed by artist Ajamu, who took intimate photos of the men involved in the documentary.

Speaking to The Guardian, he said that it was time for men to be able to open up about their experiences and that we need to be less embarrassed about our genitals.
He told the publication: "It's rare in the mainstream to hear men talk about their bodies and what it means to be male.
"It's also rare to see penises on TV. We are uncomfortable in this country talking about pleasure of the body. We still live in an erotophobic culture. Other cultures, in Asia and parts of Africa, have celebrated the penis historically, but there's something about this country that is still kind of backwards."
A 'source' from Channel 4 reportedly told The Sun that while it is against the rules for an aroused penis to be shown on television, Me and My Penis gets around things due to the artistic intent.

They said: "This shatters one of the final no-go areas on terrestrial TV, because regulations forbid an erect penis being shown in a sexual context.
"But as these aroused private parts are shown in an entirely artistic context, filming them doesn't break any rules."
It's also hoped that with the world being a more 'open-minded' place now, Channel 4 will receive fewer complaints than it might have in the past, according to the source.
Me and My Penis will air on Channel 4 at 10pm tonight.
