It seems like not a day goes by that we're bringing you stories about teachers doing the dirty with students over in the States.

In fact, it's become such an epidemic over the pond that the state of Alabama considered actually training teachers how not to have sex with their students.

The Education Policy Committee had initially approved the bill by Sen. Cam Ward, according to Decatur Daily.

If the bill was passed, teachers would be required to attend training on sexual or romantic contact, social media interactions, interactions outside the classroom and physical restraint in class.

However, the senator has received so much backlash that he's come out and apologised, saying he is no longer going to push the bill.

Was it the right decision, for the senator to stop the proposed bill? Or should teachers be given training to stop this problem? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
