Gardener Dies As He's Sucked Into Woodchipper Leaving Behind Pool Of Blood
A gardener was dragged into a woodchipper as the company he worked for was chopping down a tree in a school playground.
According to reports, the man - named as Samuela Cirivakayawa by The Sunday Telegraph - was feeding branches into the machine outside Cromehurst School in Sydney, Australia, as his colleagues left to move a nearby car at around 8.30am.
When they returned, the 40-year-old was nowhere to be seen but, to their horror, a pool of blood was left behind following the tragedy.
Mr Cirivakayawa - a Fijian national, according to The Telegraph - and two colleagues had been working on the job at the school for Arbor Tree Group, a tree removal specialist company.
The two co-workers called the emergency services and Australian police cordoned off the area when they arrived on Saturday morning.
A New South Wales Police spokesperson told news.com.au they have not released any images of the victim or his name.
They said: "There is no update, police are preparing a report for the Coroner," but confirmed that a 40-year-old man died on Kochia La, Lindfield, outside Cromehurst School on Saturday morning in a workplace incident.
The spokesperson continued: "A crime scene is in place and SafeWork NSW has been notified."
LADbible has approached Arbor Tree Group for a comment.
