Grandma Fends Off Half-Naked 300lb Carjacker With Baseball Bat
Clarese Gainey, from Florida, said she heard a noise outside her apartment on Sunday morning, so picked up her bat and went to investigate.
"'I grabbed my bat, I braced myself, and I eased the door open," she told WGFL.
Outside, the 65-year-old said she discovered a 300lb man in nothing but his underpants trying to break into her car. After the man spotted her, she said that he charged in her direction.
The former high school softball player said: "I took that bat and hit him upside the head like, 'pi-yah!' He said, 'Ow!'"
The man, Antonio Mosley, then fled the scene, leaving behind his trousers, shirt and a sock, which the police K9 unit were able to use to track him down to a nearby mobile home park. When officers found him, Mosley was said to be wearing a new pair of trousers with cocaine in the pocket.
Police then brought Mosley back to Miss Gainey's home where she identified him - with officers telling her she had left Mosley with a big lump on his head.
But Miss Gainey said it was lucky for Mosley that her baseball bat wasn't a gun.
She said: "He better be glad I didn't have a gun, because I would have shot him. But this is my gun right here (baseball bat). Because I gone, 'pi-yow!'"
Mosely is now being held in Alachua County Jail and he has been charged with two counts of burglary and drug possession.
Last year, the tables were turned, as a naked man stopped a car thief from stealing his girlfriend's Range Rover.
CCTV footage showed the nude boyfriend sprinting towards the car and tackling the thief to the ground as he attempted to flee.
His proud girlfriend shared the video online with the caption: "Someone tried to steal our car last night.
"Silly sausage didn't realise my fiancé is a naked ninja. Bet he won't try that again in a hurry.
"Would there be anything more terrifying than a raging, naked man rugby tackling you?"
So beware carjackers, you risk getting clubbed by grandmas and tackled by naked men.
