Climate activist Greta Thunberg has taken the mickey out of UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson following his comments at a climate summit yesterday, having cheekily updated her Twitter bio in a subtle dig.

Thunberg's bio now simply reads 'bunny hugger', which is an apparent reference to something Johnson said about the 'green act of bunny hugging' at the virtual event.

Speaking at Joe Biden's Leaders Summit on Climate yesterday, Johnson said: "It's vital for all of us to show that this is not all about some expensive, politically correct, green act of bunny hugging, or however you want to put it, there's nothing wrong with bunny hugging."

He said that tackling the climate emergency was about 'growth and jobs', arguing that the US President was 'right to stress that'.

Johnson added: "We can build back better from this pandemic by building back greener."

Thunberg's Twitter bio previously read: "Seriously annoying climate and environmental activist with Asperger's."

However, now she has updated it so that it simply says: "Bunny hugger."

Earlier that day, 18-year-old Thunberg had also called out leaders' 'bulls***'.

She posted a video on Twitter in which she said the targets set by world leaders were not as 'ambitious' as they claimed, but were actually 'full of gaps and loopholes'.

She tweeted: "When you compare the overall current best available science to their insufficient, hypothetical 'climate targets' you clearly see that there's a gap, there are decades missing.

"Until we address this gap, no real solutions will be found.

"Let's call out the bulls***."

Thunberg often uses her social media platforms to respond to issues around the globe - including strange remarks made by other world leaders.

Back in 2019, then-US President Donald Trump famously took a swipe at Thunberg after she became the youngest figure to be named Time magazine's Person of the year.

He tweeted: "So ridiculous. Greta must work on her Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Greta, Chill!"

In retaliation, Thunberg simply changed her Twitter bio to say: "A teenager working on her anger management problem. Currently chilling and watching a good old fashioned movie with a friend."

Last year, she also updated it to 'Sharon' after a quiz show contestant was unable to correctly guess Thunberg as the answer - instead throwing forward the random woman's name.
