Harry Maguire has reportedly been arrested after an incident in Mykonos.

The Manchester United defender is currently on holiday on the Greek Island with his partner, but it's claimed that he was detained after a 'fight broke out'.

Greek media outlets have reported that an altercation happened outside a bar in the early hours of Friday (21 August) morning, with police called to the scene by local residents.

Two other Brits were also reportedly arrested following the melee.

The club has released a statement saying the captain is 'co-operating' with local authorities.

It says: "The club is aware of an alleged incident involving Harry Maguire in Mykonos last night

"Contact has been made with Harry, and he is fully co-operating with the Greek authorities.

"At this time we will be making no further comment."

Speaking to Greek state TV ERT, a police officer said: "The soccer player was verbally abusive to an officer and then hit him.

"The three were resisting when brought to the Mykonos police station."

The alleged arrest comes hours after Maguire's fiancee, Fern Hawkins, posted a photograph of them both together to her Instagram account.

The caption to the snap read: "Holidays with you."

LADbible has approached the Mykonos police department for comment.
