Footage has emerged of fight breaking out at an airport after two women forced a whole plane to deboard for refusing to wear masks. Watch what happened:

The altercation took place at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida on Wednesday (17 March), when two women from Chicago refused to wear face coverings on the plane before take off.

They were eventually escorted off the plane by police, but their fellow passengers weren't best pleased, with many of them booing and mocking the pair that had caused the disruption.

As they are lead past the crowd in the American Airlines terminal they get more and more annoyed. One of the women can be heard calling people rude before they stop in front of another group of women.

They all begin to shout and argue, with one of the women who allegedly caused the flight to deboard - who is now wearing a mask, albeit only on her mouth and not her nose - squaring up to one of the women out of the group.

This turns into a huge fight, with the women filmed punching each other and pulling each others hair.

It was aired on 7 News, with one traveller saying: "Fighting for what? What are you fighting over?

"And they're total strangers. These people didn't know each other before? I don't understand."

Police managed to separate the women, before detaining them and taking them out of the airport. It's not known if anyone was charged in connection with the incident.

LADbible has reached out to American Airlines for comment.

It's been quite common to see anger towards those who refuse to wear face coverings to protect themselves and others against Covid-19.

Earlier this month, a woman who refused to wear a face mask in a bank found herself in handcuffs, shortly after asking an officer, 'What are you gonna do, arrest me?'. Watch body-cam footage here:

Galveston Police Department in Texas, USA, have obtained a warrant for the arrest of Terry Wright on resisting arrest and criminal trespassing charges.

The 65-year-old entered a branch of Bank of America at around 12.30pm on Thursday 11 March without wearing a mask - with the state-wide mask mandate ending earlier in the month, but private businesses still allowed to enforce mask-wearing.

After refusing to leave the bank, police were called, but she still did not leave the premises or put on a mask.

She asked: "What are you gonna do, arrest me? That's hilarious."

Wright insisted she could not be forced to wear a mask and accused the officer of impinging on her human rights. She then tried to walk away from the officer as he pinned her to the ground and handcuffed her.

Asked whether, in hindsight, she should have worn a face mask, she continued: "I would not change a thing, I'm not gonna put a face diaper on because everyone is paranoid of [sic] something that is not real."
