Now the senior White House advisor has sought to shut down renewed allegations of sexual misconduct surrounding her father, saying she 'believes' her father when he says he's done nothing wrong.

Asked by NBC News' Peter Alexander about claims that Trump touched several women without their consent, Ivanka said: "I think it's a pretty inappropriate question to ask a daughter if she believes the accusers of her father when he's affirmatively stated that there's no truth to it.

"I don't think that's a question you would ask many other daughters... I believe my father, I know my father. So I think I have that right as a daughter to believe my father."

Ivanka was speaking with Alexander while she formed part of the US envoy at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea which held its closing ceremony took place this past weekend.

Trump is currently facing claims from at least 20 women over his sexual conduct, with the women reporting issues varying from sexual harassment, sexual assault and even rape.

While Trump and his team have repeatedly denied allegations of any wrongdoing, Trump has faced renewed scrutiny in recent weeks after one of Trump's accusers, Rachel Crooks, gave an interview to the Washington Post last week.

In it, Crooks outlined her previous claims that the now President kissed her against her will in 2006 while she was working at Trump Tower.

Taking to Twitter, Trump strenuously denied the claims, calling Crooks 'a woman I don't know, and to the best of my knowledge, never met'.

Trump's denials come despite a notorious audio recording that threatened to derail his President campaign in 2016 in which he boasted of grabbing women 'by the pussy'.

Unwittingly speaking on-mic to Access Hollywood host Billy Bush in 2005, Trump was recorded saying: "You know, I'm automatically attracted to beautiful - I just start kissing them.

"It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait. And when you're a star, they let you do it. You can do anything...Grab 'em by the pussy. You can do anything."
