Jake Paul has discussed a theory as to why Conor McGregor took a swing at Machine Gun Kelly.
The UFC fighter was seen getting into a bit of a scuffle with the singer, real name Colson Baker, on the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards over the weekend.
Rumours have been circulating ever since over what sparked the coming together and why the Irishman decided to throw his drink all over him and his partner Megan Fox.
Well, Paul believes he might have an idea.
Speaking to ESPN, the 24-year-old said: "It's hilarious. Some people are saying that Conor McGregor mistook him for me because we look the same, like blonde hair, little bit tall.
"That was like the rumour that happened, I think it's hilarious."

Paul went on to say, though, that he thinks it was just another stunt designed to get the Notorious into the headlines.
He said he seems as though McGregor is "falling apart".
"Conor McGregor is a real fighter, why is he on a celebrity red carpet throwing drinks at Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly?" he asked.
"It's just disrespectful.
"But Kells (MGK) handled himself like a professional, he didn't get hot, he didn't retaliate because I think he knows that Conor just looked like an idiot."
Security guards were seen grappling with McGregor after things got heated between him and Kelly.

TMZ claimed at the time that things erupted between the pair after McGregor asked for a photo with the 'Bloody Valentine' singer as they gathered outside the Barclays Center.
MGK reportedly denied the request and pushed Conor away.
Things then escalated when McGregor fell backwards, dropping his walking cane and spilling some of his drink.
The fighter hopped back up and threw whatever was left of his beverage at MGK and Fox.
A source told TMZ that the fighter stuck out his hand as he got close to the singer, however, MGK said something and his security pushed Conor away.

They added Conor was surprised at what happened and the way he was treated.
Security ensured the singer and MMA star couldn't get close to each other and tensions eventually simmered.
When interviewed by Entertainment Tonight, Conor claimed he had no idea who Kelly is.
"I don't know. He showed up, and I don't know. I don't know the guy," the fighter said.
"Nothing happened with me, I only fight real fighters, people that actually fight, you know what I mean? I certainly don't fight little vanilla boy rappers. I don't even know the guy. I don't know anything about him, except that he's with Megan Fox."
