Jeff Bezos' Ex-Wife MacKenzie Scott Becomes World's Richest Woman

The lockdown Amazon boom hasn't just made Jeff Bezos even more incredibly rich than before, it's not been bad for his ex-wife Mackenzie Scott either.
In fact, thanks to Amazon's share prices increasing due to people turning to online shopping during the pandemic, her four percent stake in the company has added a sweet $30.3 billion (£22.8bn) to her fortune.
This means she now has a net worth of $67.4bn (£50.7bn), according to Bloomberg's Billionaires Index. Not bad, really.

Scott's wealth has made her the wealthiest woman in the world, and the 12th richest person overall.
The philanthropist and writer has been involved with 'The Giving Pledge', which sees some of the richest people in the US donate some of their wealth to charity.
Scott herself has given $1.7 billion (£1.3 billion) away - however will she afford it?
Her position in the rich list follows on from a huge divorce settlement from Amazon founder Bezos in July 2019.
The couple had been together for 25 years and had four children, but it was announced they would be splitting after Bezos was found to be having an affair with former news reader Lauren Sanchez.
As part of the divorce settlement, Scott was given $35.6 million in Amazon shares - the equivalent of four percent - meaning the better the website does, the more money she will make.
A no-brainer, if you will.

And Bezos' baby doesn't look like it's going to stop growing any time soon.
In fact, recently the CEO became the first person in the world to be worth more than $200bn (£150bn), according to Bloomberg.
The eye-watering value came as Amazon's stocks soared on Wednesday 26 August by 2.85 per cent to $3,441.85 (£2,600) per share.
That helped elevate Bezos' worth to around $202bn.
This year has been an absolute boon for the CEO, who has seen his net worth rise by around $87bn (£65bn), partly due to the increased reliance on Amazon during the coronavirus pandemic.
The pandemic has also paid massive dividends to Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who added $73.6bn (£55.7bn) to his fortune.
Bezos' staggering amount of worth puts him well clear of his closest competitor and former richest man on the planet, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, who is worth around $127bn (£95.5bn).
Hardly a figure to be scoffed at, but it's certainly lower than Bezos.
