Jim’s Group Is Being Turned Into A Monopoly Board Game

Jim’s Group Is Being Turned Into A Monopoly Board Game

Finally, a board game I can relate to.

Jim's Group is a fairly iconic brand in Australia. It all started with Jim's Mowing back in 1982 when Jim Penman launched it as a part-time gardening venture while he was completing his PhD in History.

That's since grown to all sorts of services like cleaning, fencing, dog washing, roofing, electrical...you name it they do it.

After expanding to the UK, Canada and New Zealand, it's fair to say that the company has reached heights only some can dream of.

And as a result, Jim's Group is being immortalised into a Monopoly game.

Jim's Group

A statement on its website says: "You know the Brand. You know the Man. Now play the fast-dealing property game MONOPOLY: JIMS GROUP EDITION.

"Featuring some of the most well-known and iconic divisions in Jim's. Play your way around the board and amass properties so you can become bigger than Jim himself."

The game will set you back a cool $60 and there will only be 1,500 boxes produced. Seventy people have already put orders in for this bad boy so you better get in quick before they're all gone.

You can only pre-order the game for now and orders are expected to be shipped out from next month.

If that's not your type of Monopoly game and you consider yourself a bit of a cheater, then there is definitely an option for you.

Hasbro

You can get Monopoly Cheaters on Amazon. It's the old game you know and love - but in this realm, you're supposed to manoeuvre around the 'rules' as much as possible.

Senior Vice President of Hasbro gaming Jonathan Berkowitz has told Insider: "A recent study conducted by Hasbro revealed that nearly half of game players attempt to cheat during Monopoly games, so in 2018, we decided it was time to give fans what they've been craving all along - a Monopoly game that actually encourages cheating."

It seems like the idea is being welcomed big time by fans - however some reckon this could lead to more fights.

In this new edition, there will be a real handcuff included, which will be slapped onto the person who's in jail. In addition to that, there will be 15 Cheaters Cards that will encourage you to do all sorts of devilish things.

Some of the cards suggest pocketing more from the bank when you pass Go, try to chuck a hotel piece on one of your properties without anyone watching, remove a hotel piece from another player's property, and try and escape out of the handcuff without anyone noticing.
