Joe Biden has secured enough votes to become the 46th President of the United States after more than three days of uncertainty.
Democratic candidate Biden eventually passed the 270 Electoral College votes needed to remove Donald Trump from the White House with the declaration of the results from Pennsylvania.
However, despite Biden now claiming the necessary number of votes from states, this election is far from over, given the nature of the response from the Republican Trump campaign.
Trump has offered several press conferences over the past few days in which he has claimed that the election has been rigged against him, and made allegations of absentee ballot fraud.
So far, lawsuits from Trump's campaign have been dismissed in Georgia and Michigan, but he is not likely to accept the results that have been declared with a good grace.
