Louie Spence has shocked social media by deciding to 'cook' his mother's ashes. However, he does have an explanation. Watch the video below to find out more:

Spence posted the footage on his Instagram page and captioned it: "Drying mum out on the aga part three she's coming up a treat."

If this has left you a bit confused, he did go on to provide an explanation.

The TV star said: "She's been about 1,000 degrees when she was burnt the first time so I think it'll be fine.

He then revealed: "She was on a plinth in the garden. It was sealed but obviously the seal broke and all the water got in.

"One thing she didn't like was swimming and she definitely didn't like getting her hair wet."

Spence adds that he had been 'drying her out' for three days in order to dry her ashes on the aga.

He went on to say: "As you can see she turned from sludge - she's coming back alive, not literally - into a lovely consistency.

"Then we will be able to pot her back in. Day number three - drying out mum."

The dancer shared the video with his 92,900 Instagram followers yesterday and they couldn't believe what they were seeing.

In an earlier video, Spence even added a few drop of whisky to his mum's ashes, saying 'she'll like that'.

Louie's mum's ashes had the consistency of 'sludge' after the seal broke on their container.

One user wrote: "She's coming back to the right consistency! You're killing me."

A second user added: "Oh my goodness I do love you Louie! You always manage to find ways to make light out of tough situations and I thank you for that.

"It's been the good giggle I've needed after a tough week!"

A third commented: "You mum must have been one funny lady am sure she's watching cracking up."

Finally a fourth user concluded: "I've been so invested in this Louie, at first I spat my tea out laughing, my eyes leaked lots for the love and compassion for your mum, the tot of whisky, sludge consistency to reducing her heat source down.

"This is so beautiful. I even sent these three posts to my daughter telling her I need this level of love when I'm gone! Godbless you Louie and Godbless your Mum xx."
