People are questioning 'cancel culture' after Louis CK was nominated for Best Comedy Album at the 2022 Grammy Awards following sexual misconduct allegations in 2017.

The nomination is for his most recent special 'Sincerely Louis CK' where he makes a direct joke about the allegations - he was accused by multiple women of sexually inappropriate behaviour.

As per The Independent, the comedian joked: "I like jerking off, I don't like being alone, that's all I can tell you.

"I get lonely, it's just sad.

"I like company.

"I like to share.

"I'm good at it, too.

"If you're good at juggling, you wouldn't do it alone in the dark.

"You'd gather folks and amaze them."

Dave Chapelle, who was apparently 'cancelled', was also nominated for a Grammy award, despite not apologising for his anti-trans jokes throughout his Netflix specials - and social media has reacted to the nominations.

One user wrote: No f**king way they nominated louis ck..."

"Don't talk to me about "cancel culture" when louis ck was jusy nominated for a f**king grammy," someone else wrote.

A third tweeted: "For those monitoring the deep struggles of cancel culture, Dave Chappelle and Louis CK were both nominated for Grammys today."

"With Louis CK, Kevin Hart and Dave Chapelle nominated for Grammys this year, be at all times reminded that cancel culture ruins wealthy comedians," another commented.

A final user added: "Dave Chapelle and Louis CK have both got grammy nominations today.

"So that's where things are at."
