Man, 30, Plunges To His Death After Falling Off A Cliff In Ibiza

A 30-year-old British man has tragically died after falling from a cliff in Ibiza.

The unnamed man was reportedly with his girlfriend and a group of mates in the Cala d'Hort viewpoint area of Sant Josep when he sadly fell around 450 feet to his death.

The Civil Guard received reports of someone having fallen from the top of a cliff near Torre des Savinar yesterday evening (13 August) at about 10.30pm.

According to Ultima Hora, a number of emergency teams from Fire and Rescue, Sant Josep Local Police, and Civil Protection rushed out to the scene.

Authorities located his body using a police drone.

At around 3.30am, a team from the Vertical Rescue Group (GRV) of the Ibiza Firefighters descended the cliff but were only able to confirm that he had sadly died.

The Civil Guard then used a helicopter to recover the man's body.

It's understood that an investigation is now underway to understand the circumstances surrounding his death.
