A man allegedly assaulted by Conor McGregor has spoken out about the incident.

Last week, footage emerged appearing to show the fighter punching another man in the head in a pub in Dublin.

The incident reportedly took place on 6 April at The Marble Arch Pub, and the footage appears to show McGregor being dragged out of the pub after taking a swing at the other man.

Speaking to the Irish Daily Star, the man on the receiving end of the punch - who has not been named - has discussed his feelings toward McGregor.

The 50-year-old said: "I can take a punch. It was sore for about a week. It wasn't killing me or anything.

"I don't like the man. I think he is getting a bad rep. He is a bit of a bully, a bully with money."

The 31-year-old UFC star reportedly threw the punch after the man declined to drink a glass of his Proper Twelve whiskey, according to TMZ.

A friend of the man who was punched is reported to have said the victim 'was in bits' the day after the attack.

Speaking to The Mirror, the friend (also unnamed) said: "He was having his pint when McGregor came in and offered everyone a drink of his whiskey. A few had it but this man doesn't drink shorts at all.

"However, Conor insisted he take it and when he refused a second time McGregor wasn't impressed. Next thing he punched him in the side of the face.

"He didn't feel the pain of it at the time but the next day he was in bits. It was a proper hard hit. His face was very sore. He was very shaken by the whole thing and didn't leave his house for days.

"At the end of the day he doesn't want an apology or any money, he just wants justice for what happened to him.

"He didn't even realise McGregor was in the pub until he was standing up beside him. Everyone in the pub was shocked by what had happened and couldn't believe it."

Irish police are investigating the incident but no arrests have been made.

Meanwhile, Khabib Nurmagomedov has said McGregor has 'lost his mind' and should go to jail for the alleged attack.

Speaking to TMZ Sport, he said: "These people, they have to go to jail. I told you, this guy have no class. No respect.

"This is very bad for sport. Some things he doing good for sport, but right now he without his mind. He lose his mind. It's crazy.

"Government have to smash him. This is my opinion, 'cause I'm really, really mad about this video. I don't understand how you can punch old man."
