Doorbell Camera Glitch Gives Illusion Of Man Being ‘Abducted’ By Aliens

A couple's doorbell camera gave an eerie extra-terrestrial twist to their day after a glitch in the footage meant it looked as though one of them had been 'abducted by aliens'.

The footage came from the home of a couple who live in Porter, Texas.

While it looks fairly ominous - as the man appears to disappear in a bright flash, which moves up towards the sky - thankfully it was just a bit of a technical glitch.

The unnamed man in the video said he and his fiancée found the whole thing 'really funny', as it really did look like he'd been whisked away by a bunch of martians.

He said: "This morning, my fiancée and I were looking through our videos recorded by Ring and we found a weird glitch.

"She said, 'Look, Ring had you abducted by aliens or you just been part of the rapture!'

The man and his fiancée may have been convinced that it was all down to a 'weird glitch', but online other people had their own assumptions.

Rather than believing a lag in the camera was the reason behind the weird clip, one viewer said, according to the Mirror: "Most definitely aliens... open your EYEZ people... they are here among us."

Another added: "Probably a glitch but definitely weird!"

Elsewhere in America, recently someone else's Ring camera managed to capture the very moment Hurricane Dorian lifted his North Carolina home from its foundation and into the air.

Jason Sawyer had tuned in to see the state of his home as a tornado spun out of Hurricane Dorian closed in on Emerald Isle, a town in North Carolina.

Thankfully, he'd been watching the feed from afar, having returned to his home in Raeford after securing the property at the Boardwalk RV park.

Sawyer told WRAL: "We spent about four days down there just visiting and enjoying the weekend and kind of tied things down on Sunday before we left.

"We weren't sure what we were going to come back to, but we sure didn't expect this."

Sawyer and his wife had been following reports online of damage to Emerald Isle when he remembered his doorbell cam.

He continued: "I called my wife upstairs, and we kind of looked at it together, and there wasn't much to say.

"We knew it was bad. We didn't realise how bad, but, you know, catching that sound of the tornado hitting us was pretty humbling. It really shakes you to the core."
