We all love finding a hidden gem, and this lad found a secret bar behind a washing machine in Manchester. Take a look inside in the video below:

TikTok user @dougiesdinners shared a video about his trip to The Washhouse secret cocktail bar in Manchester - and even called it 'the best secret cocktail bar in the UK'.

The video starts by explaining how to get in.

Dougie said: "One of the washing machines opens and Ben [the waiter] comes and shows you to your table.

"We were not ready for the levels of cocktails, oh my God."

The TikToker stepped into a low-lit bar and was immediately impressed when the barman began serving drinks and food.

He said: "They were setting things on fire in front of our face so we could toast marshmallows.

"Each cocktail came with its own story, I've genuinely not experienced anything like this."

He described some of the more theatrical drinks as 'like some next-level Steven Spielberg stuff man'.

Other TikTok users were excited to check out The Washhouse, with Dougie's video getting 2.7 million views.

One commented: "We need to go here!!"

Another asked: "How you supposed to know if you're at the right place. I'd be walking round for ages trying to find it."

Another user asked what beers the bar had on tap, which Dougie said was 'like going to the cinema to read a book'.

Though The Washhouse appears to be a launderette, there are a couple of clues that raise certain suspicions.

The opening hours are perhaps not typical of your average laundrette and the 'well-dressed' crowd that seems to disappear behind the washing machine shaped door on the back wall could raise a few eyebrows.

However, the prohibition era feels you might get when visiting definitely seem to enhance your experience.

The Washhouse serve a huge variety of drinks - from classic to experimental, along with spirits, beers and champagnes all served to table.

You'll still have to book online, and it's best to book early as the cocktail bar is a popular destination with those in the know.

The website brilliantly shows a list of services including duvet washing and shirt pressing. Of course, they are obligated to say they don't offer these services in the disclaimer, just in case you actually turn up with a huge basket of laundry, which actually happened once.

The owners were ultimately forced to add the disclaimer after customers kept turning up with bags of dirty washing, and one woman, who must be great fun at parties, went so far as to make a complaint to Trading Standards.

You can check out the bar's website for more information.
