Little did he realise the nightclub's UV lights would turn his face bright white

A man who decided to put on some SPF face cream before a night out soon regretted the decision after discovering his face went bright white under the UV lights. Check it out:

The poor guy and his group of friends were visiting Amsterdam when they decided to check out one of the city's famous nightclubs.

Although he was just making sure his face was hydrated and refreshed, he didn't realise that the moisturiser would leave him looking like a mime.

Thankfully, his pal Jack was on hand to film the whole thing and share the embarrassing moment on TikTok - what are friends for, eh?

Posting the clip on his account @jackremmington, Jack wrote: "When your friend wears a little too much SPF moisturiser to the club in Amsterdam and there are UV lights in the bathroom."

The TikToker's video shows a series of photos from the group's trip to the Netherlands capital, only to then cut to his white-faced pal who is laughing along with fellow clubbers as they point out the hilarious mishap.

"The level of respect I have for him sticking it out," Jack added.

The clip's received 3.4 million views at the time of writing, as well as over 400,000 likes and hundreds of comments from people who saw the funny side.

"Well at least you know it works," joked one user, while another said: "He'll be looking 20 when he's 40 with this level of commitment though."

Another pointed out: "You can always tell who has veneers in that light too."

The UV light never lies.

Speaking of which, a woman was left red-faced back in summer after a nightclub's UV lights made her white 'granny pants' glow up in the dark.

Rhia Adams went out with her partner for their first post-lockdown night out, and decided to opt for comfort when she chucked on the 'granny kecks' under her glam outfit.

However, when she arrived at the Crafty Scholar bar in Lancaster, her girlfriend soon noticed that her undies were lit up for all to see.

Rhia, from Salford, Greater Manchester, said: "Me and my girlfriend Chelsie decided to take a last minute night away and ended up having a few drinks to end our day.

"To be honest, I was a bit apprehensive before I went out as I hadn't been out very much because of lockdown and I was a tad nervous about the restrictions being lifted.

"I was just sitting there singing away taking a few pictures when Chelsie pointed out that my underwear was glowing up under the UV light!

"I felt so embarrassed and instantly wanted to leave but I quickly found the funny side of it and decided to make a TikTok about it!"
