A former County Commissioner has shared a video of a Trump-supporting friend irately asking Alexa why she brought up Joe Biden when asked to name the President of the United States. You can watch the clip below:

Conservative Republican Dean Browning shared the video on Twitter with the caption: "Video sent by a friend - why does @Alexa bring up Joe Biden when asked who the President of the United States is?

"We have one President at a time and Joe Biden is not the President right now."

In the tense exchange between Browning's friend and Amazon's virtual assistant, the man asks Alexa: "Who is the President of the United States?"

She responds: "The current President of the United States is Donald Trump."

However, she then adds: "According to the Associated Press, Joe Biden is the President-elect and will be sworn in on 20 January 2021.

"Did that answer your question?"

Browning's friend hits back: "Why did you feel the need to tell me that Joe Biden is the President-elect? I asked you who the President is."

He is met with stony silence from the voice assistant and adds: "Hmm, no answer."

People on Twitter were amused by the exchange, with one writing: "I love the comeback and snarky laugh like he genuinely believes he's out smarted Alexa."

Another said: "So inconvenient that Alexa provides relevant context to the answer."

While a third, clearly anticipating Biden's inauguration next month, wrote: "4 more weeks, 4 more weeks, 4 more weeks, 4 more weeks, 4 more weeks, 4 more weeks, 4 more weeks, 4 more weeks, 4 more weeks, 4 more weeks, 4 more weeks, 4 more weeks, 4 more weeks, 4 more weeks, 4 more weeks, 4 more weeks, 4 more weeks, 4 more weeks, 4 more weeks, 4 more weeks."

Trump - who still has not conceded defeat in the US election last month, has continued to make unsubstantiated claims about voter fraud, with reports that he's even indicated to aides he will refuse to leave the White House on 20 January.

An adviser is quoted as having told CNN: "He's throwing a f***ing temper tantrum. He's going to leave. He's just lashing out."

The report goes on to state that few aides have taken his threats to stay in the White House seriously.

In spite of all this, Alexa - and, importantly, US officials - will name Joe Biden as the current POTUS by the end of next month.
