Man Sparks Debate About Which Way You Should Stand In Shower

Man Sparks Debate About Which Way You Should Stand In Shower

Do you face the shower head or turn away?

Besides the plethora of dance routines and challenges, TikTok has opened up a whole bunch of debates about everyday things we might not be doing right.

The latest? Our shower routine.

While a lot of people stand facing away from the shower head to avoid getting shampoo in their eyes, a new video suggests otherwise.

TikTok user MsCarrotTop elaborated on the topic earlier this month, addressing another clip in which fellow Tiktoker Flynnwest claims, "I just found out there are people who shower facing towards the shower."

In response, she says: "You guys don't, like you get in the shower and you wash your body. And then you turn around when you need to wash your hair, right?...

"Right!?"

Well, apparently not. The video, which has had 2.3 million views and 235k likes, saw thousands of people take to the comments section to offer up their opinion on this revelation.

"Why do they always show people in movies showering this way then?" wrote one user, while another said: "Am I the only person who showers facing forward?"

The latter comment reflects the general consensus - most people switch it up.

One commenter said: "Nooooo how are you washing when you're facing the water? You washing everything then face the shower when you rinse..."

Another wrote, "I pretty much spin in circles the whole time," while a third added: "I don't get this either. I face where the water is coming from and turn around to wash my hair."

Some people were just confused as to the actual order of things MsCarrotTop describes.

"Who the hell washes their body and THEN their hair?" wrote one, with another stating: "I do both but I do hair first and then body and face."

So, what have we learned? Ultimately everyone's got their own routine, but despite what movies and adverts might tell us, most people don't solely face the shower head when they're washing.

For more of the same, some people have revealed that they poop backwards so that they can snack while on the loo, sparking a furious online debate.

It all began when TikTok user @amyywoahh shared the unusual 'life hack' with her 11.7 million followers, promising it would change their lives forever.

In the caption, she wrote: "Life hack: take a [poo emoji] BACKWARDS."

Her video - which has racked up millions of views - shows her setting up the toilet with an iPad, a box of brownie bites, a huge bag of crisps and a drink.

She then sits on the bog back-to-front to show others how it's done, drinking and eating away happily.

She says: "You have been pooping wrong. What I want you to do is poop backwards.

"Get your favourite snacks, get your favourite show and that's how you poop. It's the best of all times. You just sit there jamming and pooping."

The clip reviewed mixed reactions, and while some were in favour of the unusual snacking spot, others advised against it.

As well as raising all kinds of questions about hygiene, one doctor said it could end with haemorrhoids if people end up sitting on the loo for too long.

Dr Aydin, from Turkey, wrote: "Your show should end in five minutes, otherwise you could get haemorrhoids."

So yeah, best save your Netflix 'n' Snacks for the sofa.
