A man walked straight up to Fox News' Tucker Carlson while he was shopping at a fishing store in Montana and called him the 'worst human being known to mankind'. Watch video below:
Dan Bailey appears to be the man in the video as the exchange was captured and shared on his Instagram page @danbaileymt.
The video starts with an immediate confrontation where Bailey is right in Carlson's face.
Bailey said: "You are the worst human being known to mankind. I want you to know that."
Despite the full conversation being difficult to understand, Bailey definitely doesn't appear to hold back. Carson warns Bailey that he has his daughter with him and also refers to Bailey as 'son' throughout the whole encounter.
Baily continues to say: "What you have done to people's families and everybody else..."
He clears up his thoughts in the Instagram caption that read: "It's not everyday you get to tell someone they are the worst person in the world and really mean it! What an a**hole!
"This man has killed more people with vaccine misinformation, he has supported extreme racism, he is a fascist and does more to rip this country apart than anyone that calls themselves an American."
The post received over 280,000 views and racked up 65,000 likes, causing a huge divide in the comments section.
One user wrote: "Well done. Damn. Well done."
Whilst another said: "Hell yeah Dan! Wish I could've seen that one in person."
Not all users agreed with Bailey as a final user argued: "You having fun harassing a man who speaks the truth."
If you don't know who Tucker Carlson is, he hosts Tucker Carlson Tonight on Fox News and regularly tops the cable news ratings rankings.
On 21 July, the network beat the CNN presidential town hall with President Joe Biden in viewers. Fox News had 2.36 million people tuning in, while Mr Biden's question-and-answer session brought in 1.28 million people.
A spokesperson from Fox News said that "ambushing" Carlson while he was at the shop in Livingston with his family was "totally inexcusable."
He continued: "No public figure should be accosted regardless of their political persuasion or beliefs simply due to the intolerance of another point of view."
Also in a statement, Dan Bailey's Outdoor Company, made it clear that the Dan Bailey in the video was not the same person who the company is named after.
They said: "To be clear, we treat every customer equally and respectfully. Our staff was professional and cordial to Mr. Carlson, as we are with all of our customers."
