A woman from Toronto found her dad watching what he thought was the England vs Demark game at Euro 2020, only to realise that it was a game of FIFA. Whoops! Watch the moment he found out the truth below:

Posting the hilarious scene to TikTok, it was his daughter Tasneem Barakat who had to break the news to him at half-time.

The video is captioned: "45 minutes into the game and he didn't bat an eye."

Tasneem confesses: "Papa it's not real, they're cartoons, it's FIFA!

Looking exasperated, her father tries to convince her that it's a real football match.

However, Tasneem responds: "No it's FIFA, fake video game one, look at them close!"

"Look at them close - don't they look fake to you?"

While laughing, she continues: "You've been watching this this whole time?"

The video hit over 2.4 million views, with TikTok users having a great time in the comments section.

One user wrote: "Dude goes into the work the next day: 'wow what a game! Can't believe Denmark won 12-1'."

A second said: "Oh nooo my man's got his whole dinner set out and he's loving the game."

Most people were sympathetic, with one person suggesting we should all 'let him off'.

Speaking of letting people off, Boris Johnson has been under pressure to give the nation a day off work if England win the Euro 2020 final on Sunday (11 July).

According to The Sun, proposals have been drawn up by officials for a bank holiday so that England fans can savour the result... well, if they win, of course.

The PM was asked on Thursday about the prospect of a bank holiday if the Three Lions pick up the trophy.

While paying a visit to the headquarters of energy company Bulb on Thursday, he said: "I think that would be tempting fate; let's see what happens."

The idea originally came from Lee Jones, who suggested that it would be a very 'beneficial and sensible' idea to give the nation a day off as he set up a petition on the Parliament Website. So far it has more than 300,000 signatures.

The petition read: ""Furthermore, a historic win should be celebrated. It would be expected for the winning team to parade the trophy, and a bank holiday would be a perfect time to do this."

"Also, English people would naturally want to continue to enjoy the win, giving the retail and leisure industry a much-needed opportunity to make up lost revenues."
