Man Who Groped Waitress Was Dining With His Girlfriend And Daughters

You have to wonder how they are going to take this,

Police have arrested the man who allegedly groped a waitress in her place of work and got body-slammed to the floor for his troubles.

It turns out that Ryan Cherwinski was actually at the restaurant with his long-term partner and their two infant daughters at the time of the alleged assault.

Video footage showed a man grabbing the behind of 21-year-old Emelia Holden as she tried to go about her job working as a waitress at Vinnie Van Go-Go's restaurant in Savannah, Georgia.

Holden was having none of it though, she turned around, grabbed the man by the arm, pulled him towards her, and then threw him to the floor. You go, Emelia.

Helpfully, the whole incident was caught on the restaurant's CCTV system, so the police have got all the help that they need.

Cherwinski is a 31-year-old from Palm Beach, Florida, and was dining at the restaurant alongside his partner of 11 years, Erica Martin, and their two daughters. He is now facing criminal charges after one of Holden's co-workers called the cops and he was arrested.

The incident took place at around 11pm, but he wasn't taken into custody until the following morning.

He was then handed over to the Chatham County Sheriff's Office, before being released on bail two days later.

Cherwinski has been charged with sexual battery.

After her ordeal, Holden said: "I just did what I felt was best. I took the guy down and had my co-workers call the police.

"As soon as the cops saw the CCTV footage, they immediately arrested the man. He sat in jail until Monday so in my opinion, he got what he deserved.

"All that I want from my experiences is for women to know that it's okay to stand up for yourself.

"You have every right to wear what you want and you most certainly have every right to defend yourself."

You're damn right you do. Fair play to her.

Holden has chosen to use her new found - and probably unwanted - fame to raise money for something that is close to her heart, cats.

She has set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for cat charities. The page reads: "Recently a video of me went viral and I've been getting a lot of attention for it,' wrote Holden on her Go Fund Me page.

"I'd like to take this opportunity to give back to something that means a great deal to me, CATS!"

It's a slightly unorthodox way to go about it, but so far, she has raised over $6,500, so it's definitely working.

At least something good can come from this whole ugly business.
