Have you ever been told that sitting around and doing nothing will get you nowhere?

Well, that rule doesn't apply to Michael Jordon. The GOAT of basketball has reportedly managed to pocket $7 million (£5.1 million) from the GOAT of football, Lionel Messi and his move to PSG earlier this month.

Jordan's mega profit basically comes from Messi's shirt sales, that are manufactured by MJ's Air Jordan brand.

According to Front Office Sports, since Leo signed with Paris, his shirt sales have raked in over $100 million (£73 million) for Air Jordan, in which Michael of course gets a cheeky cut - approximately five percent of those sales.

Not bad is it.

The number is constantly increasing, hence the $7 million (£5.1 million) figure reported.

Despite Messi currently set to earn $41 million (£29.9 million) with his new contract, social media are more focused on the former NBA hall of famer and the way he can just sit back and chill whilst the money piles up.

One user was quite salty about the situation and wrote: "Imagine an oil football club with a basketball brand as sponsor."

Whilst a second user pointed out: "MJ has made millions of dollars in both sports."

A final user concluded: "The Goat of football making it rain to the Goat of NBA."

Apparently the money Jordan pocketed off this deal was more than he earned during 13 of 15 NBA seasons, which is mad.

Having left behind years worth of memories with his Barcelona mansion, it's reported that Messi and his family will live in his six-bedroom apartment in the prestigious 16th arrondissement, the 'South Kensington of Paris', which he purchased in 2016.

The swanky neighbourhood is 'home to foreign embassies and renowned museums, including the Fondation Louis Vuitton and the Palais de Tokyo with its contemporary art', according to Google Maps.

Passy, which is just across the river from the Eiffel Tower, is 'home to the city's wealthiest residents [and] features trendy restaurants and the Maison de Balzac, a house museum where the novelist once lived'.

Other than that, not much else is known about the football star's new life in Paris beyond the football pitch. We'll have to wait and see some snaps from Mrs Messi of the family in their fancy new Paris home.
