Sending risque messages is always, well, a bit of a risk. But sadly one couple worked out the hard way just how dangerous a game it can be when a woman's mother-in-law intercepted a 'dirty' text she had sent to her husband. Yikes.

Anna Mellor, from Austin, Texas, was playing cards with her family when she decided to send a flirtatious message to her hubby, Rory, 26.

Unfortunately for the 25-year-old, it was Rory's mother Maurie, 51, who picked up the phone when it bleeped. And she was not impressed. At all.

In the clip, Rory can be seen dealing cards when his phone, situated between him and his mother, pings.

As Maurie goes to pick it up, Anna, who is filming the debacle, can be heard saying: "Wait, wait, no... oh, no."

An unsurprisingly shocked Maurie can then be seen staring down open-mouthed at the screen, reading the filth that has just been sent to her offspring.

Rory then quickly reads through the message and laughs, asking his mum: "Did you read that?"

"I thought it was my phone! That is so gross," says Maurie.

Maurie was not impressed.

Earlier this year, new mum Jessica Courtney shared how she also saw an intimate text accidentally fall into the wrong hands.

Jessica sent a message out asking her health visitor for some advice about postpartum bleeding, following the birth of her son Jenson Carter.

The only thing is, she hadn't messaged her health visitor, but her kindly Hermes delivery driver Stuart Mitchell - who thankfully took the sympathetic approach when he replied to Jessica explaining her blunder.

He wrote: "I'm not a doctor. I'm Stuart, your Hermes delivery driver.

"If you're worried pop into the pharmacy or see your GP."

A health visitor had seen Jessica for six weeks after she gave birth to Jenson via c-section as he had been two weeks late, weighing 9lbs 2oz.

She said the recovery process was 'pretty rough', but was on the mend after a couple of weeks.

However, Jessica grew concerned about some heavy spotting, and decided to text the health visitor, asking: "Heya just a question, I've been spotting still since having the baby but it's gotten heavier the past two days, could it be a period already or should I be worried?"

Upon realising who she's actually messaged, Jessica promptly apologised to Stuart, saying: "OMG THAT'S SO EMBARRASSING. Sorry lol."

He replied: "It's safe to say that is the first time anyone has asked me that question!"
