Mum Sells Son's Game Console With Rampant Rabbit Accidentally In The Box

A mum who sold her son's old games console was horrified when she accidentally gave away a 'Rampant Rabbit' as well.

Sara Foggo, from Mirfield, West Yorkshire, says she needed a bit of extra money for Christmas, and while clearing out her kids' bedrooms came across their Sega Mega Drive.

After a couple of sales fell through on Facebook, gamer Shane Tutton got in touch and bought it for £25 - sending his mate James Bishop to pick it up.

However, the next day, a hungover Sara woke up to a message from James thanking her for the console but informing her that there was 'a rabbit jumping about in a sock' in the box.

The mum-of-three then received a photo of a vibrator in a sock lying next to the console.

Sara, 34, said: "I was absolutely mortified but I couldn't stop laughing. Stuff like this only happens to me.

"I was confused when he first messaged me, but when that picture came through, I just thought 'oh my God'."

Sara got the shock of her life when she received this photo from James.

Adding: "It was my birthday a few days earlier so I was having a few drinks to celebrate and I went and grabbed the console from my son's bedroom and put it next to the door ready for James.

"When I grabbed the box, I thought it was especially heavy but I just thought it was the manuals."

After handing it over to James, Sara didn't think anymore about it - until she received his message.

She said: "I wouldn't have minded but the Rabbit was worth more than what I sold the Sega for. I won it in a competition a few years back but it normally costs £45. I only sold the Mega Drive for £25.

"I don't know Shane but it was lucky it was for him and not a child. Imagine if a kid had opened this Sega box on Christmas Day hoping to play Sonic and there's a big 10 inch Rampant Rabbit with its tail spinning.

"I joked that I should set up a GoFundMe for a replacement as it's going to be lonely this Christmas."

Sara said the sock belonged to her mum.

And if that wasn't bad enough, the snazzy sock the vibrator was hidden in wasn't even hers, it belonged to her mum.

She said: "It was in a sock, I don't know why, and when I uploaded the exchange to Facebook, my mum messaged me saying it was hers. I couldn't believe it.

"She's had a laugh about it which is good. I'm even more out of pocket though, I'm going to have to buy her a new pair now.

"I can't remember why I put the Rabbit in that box. People have asked why it was in a children's console box and I honestly have no idea."

Sara later posted her exchange with James to Facebook, where it has since been shared more than 200 times.

James, a mobile DJ, said his mate Shane thought he was having him on when he told him about the rabbit.

The 32-year-old said: "He thought I was playing a prank on him but I didn't know anything about it. He video called me saying 'you're funny you, you're winding me up' and showed me the sock and Rabbit. We couldn't stop laughing.

"I wasn't sure whether to tell her or not but I know she's up for a laugh, so I did. It's a good job Sara's so easy going and can joke about it."
