A woman claims that she was left 'dripping with blood' after using a shopping trolley that had a razor blade wedged into the handle.

Silver Taylor says she had several cuts to her hands, adding that she lost so much blood she 'lost consciousness' when she was shopping at a Walmart in Cedar Park, Texas.

Taylor said she has a medical condition that require her to take blood thinners, meaning that her wounds - three deep lacerations on her right hand and one on her left - could take longer to heal.

The mother's attorney Brad Wurster has said that they don't know who put the razor blade on the shopping trolley, but he adds that Walmart should be held accountable.

Speaking with CBS Austin, he said: "It is Walmart's obligation to look at their carts, and make sure that if there is a hazardous condition that's there, that they did it in a timely manner and that they actually corrected the hazardous condition."

Taylor told ABC's KVUE: "No, I'm not okay. I'm not okay at all. I feel like a failure to my children because I'm such a rock in my household.

"My tools are broken. My tools are injured. I'm a mum. I'm a wife and I can't do the smallest things, like open up a refrigerator door."

She went on to explain that two customers had pointed out that she was bleeding: "I had several cuts to my hands and at that point I lost so much blood I lost consciousness."

Taylor was taken to St. David's Hospital in Cedar Park, where her wounds were heavily bandaged and she was assessed after fainting and banging her head.

Taylor added: "I don't know if anyone really understands the gravity of how thankful I am that I got hurt, and not a child, my sons. My children are scared to touch me because they're afraid they'll hurt mummy."

In a statement to CBS, Walmart said: "The safety of our customers and associates is always a top priority. We completed a thorough investigation and have been unable to substantiate Ms. Taylor's claims."

LADbible has contacted Walmart separately for comment.
