Brit music legend Elvis Costello has been forced to cancel his tour as he battles 'aggressive' cancer.
The icon apologised to fans as he scrapped the remaining dates of his European tour after revealing that he has the condition.
But hoped that he could 'return at the soonest opportunity to play that music and your favourite songs that still make sense to us all'.
The 63-year-old explained to fans that six weeks ago his doctor told him 'You should start playing the Lotto' after a 'rare', 'small' and 'aggressive' cancerous malignancy had been found.
But Costello may not have bounced back as quickly as he was expecting when he said: "By the time we reached the Edinburgh Playhouse, I was almost fooled into thinking that normal service had been resumed."
We hope he's back to full health as soon as possible.
