Nancy Pelosi's laptop has not yet been recovered following the riots at the Capitol on 6 January.

Prosecutors have revealed that Pelosi - who serves as Speaker of the United States House of Representatives - is yet to be reunited with her HP computer, claiming it was taken from her office by a Trump supporter called Riley Williams.

Prosecutors claim it was Riley Williams who swiped the laptop.

Williams' attorney defended her by explaining that searches of both her client's property and vehicle had not resolved the matter. Williams denies all of the allegations against her.

Williams, who has been on bail since Thursday (21 January) and is confined to her mum's apartment, was arrested after her ex-boyfriend told the FBI there was footage of her stealing the device. According to the MailOnline, he also said she tried to flog the laptop to Russian spies.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Mona Sedky said during a hearing in Washington D.C.: "I'm very uncomfortable discussing the facts of the case at this stage. I'm concerned that talking about what we do and don't know and what we're running down could jeopardize the investigation."

Williams is currently waiting for her trial to begin where she is charged with aiding and abetting theft, along with obstruction, trespassing and violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.

Hundreds of people marched to the Capitol and rallied outside. Tensions grew between the rioters and police trying to guard the building, and eventually all hell broke loose.

The authorities have been attempting to track down everyone involved in the storming of the Capitol, and so far 135 people have been arrested for their involvement.

On top of that, a number of people have lost their jobs since publicising their attendance for the 'insurrection' that left five people dead.

DC Metropolitan Police officer Michael Fanone recalled the moment rioters called to 'kill him with his own gun' before he was slammed to the ground, beaten and tasered.

Speaking to CNN, he said: "I remember guys were stripping me of my gear, these rioters - pulling my badge off my chest, they ripped my radio off my vest, started pulling ammunition magazines from their holder on my belt.

"And then some guy started getting a hold of my gun and they were screaming out, 'Kill him with his own gun'."

The protective ring formed around Fanone gave his partner and other officers time to get him away from the angry mob and out to safety.

Summarising his conflicting feelings, Fanone said: "A lot of people have asked me my thoughts on the individuals in the crowd that helped me or tried to offer some assistance. I think the conclusion I've come to is - thank you, but f*** you for being there."
