As lockdown continues, you may be on the lookout for more bingeworthy TV - in fact, it's probably a certainty.
Guess what, my friend, you're in luck - New Girl and Modern Family are now both available to stream on Netflix in the UK.
That's right, from 1 May, the streaming service has picked up the rights for both of the popular shows, which means you'll be able to get cracking straight away.
With both of the shows being distributed by 20th Television, which is owned by Disney, Modern Family was suspected to have been added to the entertainment giant's own streaming service. But it turns out that Netflix has snapped up the deal.

However, it seems only seven of the eleven Modern Family seasons are on Netflix at the moment, with the other appearing to be locked up with NowTV - the company that distributed the show while it was still on air.
In case somehow you're not familiar with either of the shows, here's a run-through of what you can expect.
So, Modern Family - as mentioned, seasons one through to seven are currently available on Netflix (although you never know - by the time you get to the end, you may well have the rest ready to go).
It features the likes of Ed O'Neill, Sofía Vergara, Julie Bowen, and Ty Burrell and follows the lives of three generations of the same family who live in different households.

The show has already been on Netflix in the past, but if you're late to the party, you're in luck.
It was certainly a winner for ABC when it was on in the US, scooping up more awards than you can shake a stick at.
As for New Girl... at first glance, you might not think this one's for you - it's a bit cutesy and follows the life of Zooey Deschanel's character Jess.
She experiences a bad break-up and has to find somewhere else to live - and it just so happens to be a flat share with some lads.

Of course, hilarity ensues. It's certainly a good watch and has plenty of genuinely funny moments.
Anyway, loads of stuff to get your teeth into there pals. Happy lockdown.
