OJ Simpson has said he won't visit LA due to a fear of running into the real killer of his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman.

OJ told The Athletic: "I have trouble with LA.

"People may think this is self-serving, but I might be sitting next to whoever did it. I really don't know who did this."

He is of course referring to the infamous murder of his former wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman after the pair were killed in 1994.

They were both found dead at Nicole's home in Los Angeles and Simpson was arrested and charged with their murders.

However, he was eventually acquitted by a jury following the most-viewed judicial proceeding in American TV history.

Despite being found not guilty, in a civil lawsuit in 1997 Simpson was found liable for the 'wrongful deaths' of Goldman and Brown and ordered to pay Goldman's family $33.5 million (£26m) in damages.

Simpson's lawyers have continued to launch legal challenges to appeal this judgement to this day.

OJ went on to say: "I figured eventually somebody would confess to something, you know? I had one suspect I told my lawyers to look at.

"I still think he might be involved, but I can't talk about it."

He added that he lives a 'good life' now in Vegas.

He said: "How many Americans, even today, wouldn't like to live my life?

"I don't work. I play golf four or five days a week.

"I go out to dinner a couple of nights with friends. People want to buy me drinks.

"I'm always taking pictures with people. Ladies hug me.

"People truly care for me. You don't know who truly cares about you until you've gone through some serious stuff, and I've gone through serious stuff.

"The media won't say it, but that is my life. I'm living a good life now."
