Powerball has revealed that one person has won its incredible $80 million jackpot.

The numbers were drawn last night: 33, 2, 32, 31, 28, 21, 26 and the Powerball was 12.

The winning ticket was purchased in Victoria and it was the only Division One winning entry.

If you bought a ticket, you better check it now.

The elusive Victorian will be Australia's third biggest lottery winner.

The Lott spokesperson Bronwyn Spencer said the winner could be completely unaware they're sitting on a fortune.

"Someone in Victoria could be completely unaware that their life has changed forever, scoring the mouth-watering $80 million jackpot in tonight's Powerball draw," she said.

"We are encouraging all Victorian players to check their entries online, via the Lott website or app, or if you choose to visit a store, please practice social distancing."We can't wait to unite this player with their prize."

It comes after a New South Wales woman walked away with the whole $50 million jackpot.

Understandably, she was absolutely shocked to find out she had won, especially considering it was the first time she had ever bought a lottery ticket.

"You won't believe this," she told lottery officials when they informed her she had won, "This is the first lottery ticket I've ever bought in my life.

"I've never played Oz Lotto before. I walked past the newsagency and thought it would be a bit of fun to enter, so I did.

"I can't believe it. I'm shaking. I'm shocked, so shocked."

Incredibly, she was the only Division One winner in Tuesday's draw. The unnamed woman had even completely forgotten about the ticket she bought on a whim until a mate reminded her to check it.

"My friend called me just before and said to me 'I think the newsagency you bought your Oz Lotto ticket from sold the $50 million winning entry'," she said. "My heart is beating so hard, I'm pacing around. I feel like I could have a heart attack."

When asked what she planned to do with that massive chunk of money, she said she had no clue.

"Honestly, I cannot think straight. I'll definitely keep working, but oh my goodness, I just don't know."
