Paedophile Hunters Accidentally Filter Man They've Caught During Facebook Live

The 'early man' filter made the man look like a caveman during the 20-minute video

You might think enough of a cloud would be cast over someone being outed as a child groomer on Facebook Live - surely the deepest form of disgrace and shame.

Well, turns out there's an extra indignity and ridicule that can be piled on - you probably new already that image filters aren't quite appropriate for every situation, but maybe this is a new level of indecorum.

This became a reality last week for a man caught by Wolf Pack Hunters UK. The video was recorded in Edinburgh last Tuesday and shows members of the group confronting the man about conversations he had online, accusing him of being in the location 'to meet a wee girl'.

The video was in essence 'the norm' for such paedophile hunting sites, until the person filming the 'hunt' accidentally applied the 'early man' caveman filter. Now, not only was the man being grilled for extremely questionable online behaviour, but he also had very silly teeth - much to the amusement of those watching the live stream.

One person said: "All stings should be done like this in the future."

Another agreed, writing on Twitter: "Every paedo caught should be with a filter on their face from now on - like, fucking brilliant man."

After filter was removed, one person commented: "Looked better with the filter."

Wolf Pack Hunters UK are a group that poses as minors online in an attempt to expose potential paedophiles. After amassing a bank of incriminating conversations with possible predators, the group arranges to meet them and publicly shame them by recording videos such as the above, before ultimately seeking a prosecution.

On their Facebook page, the group describes 'the reason we exist', citing an 'epidemic of grooming in Great Britain'.

It says: "This group is a community response to the epidemic of grooming in Great Britain. We are told there are measures in place to protect our children from sexual predators, therefore they should be allowed to mix freely in our communities with a degree of anonymity.

"Predators go through court get lenient punishments and are allowed to move straight back to the community where no one is informed that someone with an attraction to children is living right beside them.

"We at Wolf Pack Hunters UK are dedicated to shining a huge light upon these predators, we aim to drag them from the shadows and giving parents the right to actively protect their little ones.

"Children and the vulnerable first, no more protection for those who steal the rights of children. In this life it should be if you steal the human rights of a child you instantly lose your own rights."
