In a year filled with lockdowns, there's no doubt that many of us have spent quite some time binge-watching our favourite Netflix shows.

Well, highspeedinternet.com decided to do some investigating to find out exactly which shows have been the most popular and the results from their survey reveal that Peaky Blinders is Netflix's 'most watched TV show' this year (2021).

That conclusion was reached by analysing the search volume of the top trending Netflix titles in 70 countries.

The hit TV show topped the list of being the top searched title for 24 countries, followed by Stranger Things and Riverdale with 15 and eight countries, respectively.

And on top of that, Thomas Shelby and the lads have also taken over the world in terms of having the most searches globally at 2,280,600.

Peaky Blinders was searched 780,600 more times than the second spot, which went to Cobra Kai at 1,500,000.

Third place went to Stranger Things and fourth was Enola Holmes.

Peaky Blinders star Conrad Khan has let slip that the final season will be hitting our screen early next year.

Twenty-one-year-old Khan has joined the show for its sixth and final season and in a recent interview, he revealed we don't have too long to wait until it finally lands on BBC.

Khan told Radio Times: "That comes out, from what I last heard - I mean, these things change so quickly - I think that will come out next February, the beginning of next year.

"There was so much footage, so many episodes, that it does take a while to edit - six months or something."

Khan, who also stars in BBC's Baptiste, said he wrapped filming earlier this year.

"Yeah I finished that a few months ago now," he said.

"That was super enjoyable. It's quite different to [Baptiste] in a sense that it's more action based rather than psychological drama, but that was such an amazing experience.

"I met a lot of highly esteemed actors. It feels like a different world now because I've just been at home, working on my uni stuff and reading, so it does feel like a different world."

As well as Khan, earlier this year it was revealed that Time actor Stephen Graham had joined the cast for the final season.

Sharing a snap of Graham in costume, a tweet from the show's official account read: "We're thrilled that @StephenGraham73 has joined the cast of #PeakyBlinders series 6."

The cast of Peaky Blinders was recently left grief-stricken over the sudden death of co-star Helen McCrory, who played the iconic role of Aunt Polly. She was 52-years-old and passed away after a battle with cancer in April 2021.
