People are baffled by TikTok videos of a man pretending to drive an invisible car - smoothly 'driving' out of shot, much to everyone's confusion. You can watch a number of variations on his impressive trick below:

The TikToker in question is a user called @lightskinyogi, who has posted various videos of his seemingly impossible trick in action.

He sits on the floor with his knees folded up in front of him, before pretending to put the key in the ignition and grabbing hold of the imaginary steering wheel, whizzing off in one slick movement.

To try and work out how he's doing it, many other TikTok users have asked him to recreate the stunt with various changes or details in shot, such as 'Do it with the TV on' and 'Can you come back after you drive away' and 'Ok now do it with donuts'.

Each of the videos has racked up hundreds of thousands of views as people scratch their heads over the bizarre trick.

A compilation of his videos was also posted on Reddit, where it was upvoted 134,000 times by stunned forum users - some of whom thought it must be the work of 'CGI'.

One person also speculated: "Dude simply has the best ass muscle control in the world. Boom. Solved."

I mean, they're probably not wrong - although many others have another explanation.

Another commented: "It is reversed footage. He slides in then does the front end stuff last. Then just plays it reversed."

Another said: "No it's reversed. He made TikToks after this that responded to comments saying he should '[pour] water and then do it'.

"He tried his hardest, but it was obvious that the water definitely wasn't flowing right."

One other person said he 'edited the basketball on the TV' in one clip, while another agreed: "If you still don't believe me, watch the plant when he picks it up. It starts shaking before he touches it, yet when he puts it down it's perfectly still. All plants shake when you put them down."

The idea that he's cleverly managed to reverse the footage appears to be the most feasible, although someone else pointed out that, even then, it's a pretty impressive feat.

They wrote: "Even if it is in reverse he still slid into the camera like that."
