Ventura County Sheriff's Office confirmed the missing person was the 33-year-old actor, who played Santana Lopez in Glee.

Officials were able to confirm her identity because they found her wallet and identification on the boat, Ventura County Sheriff's Department Captain Eric Buschow told the Los Angeles Times.

He added: "He's [Rivera's son] in good health. The family is going through a very traumatic time right now."

Rivera last posted on Twitter on Tuesday, sharing a picture of her with her son along with the caption: "Just the two of us."

Rivera's son is her only child, who she had with her ex-husband Ryan Dorsey. She also previously dated former Glee co-star Mark Salling, who killed himself while awaiting sentencing for child pornography possession charges.

Rivera played Vera in 2014 horror At the Devil's Door and also released a single the year before with rapper Big Sean entitled 'Sorry'.
