Police in the US are searching for actor Naya Rivera after she went missing on a lake.
Authorities began searching after Rivera's four-year-old son was found alone in a rented boat on Lake Piru in California at around 4pm yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon.

The child was unharmed and told investigators that he and his mum were swimming, but she never got back into the boat, according to CBS Los Angeles.
Police have been searching with helicopters, drones and dive teams.
Ventura County Sheriff's Office confirmed the missing person was the 33-year-old actor, who played Santana Lopez in Glee.

Officials were able to confirm her identity because they found her wallet and identification on the boat, Ventura County Sheriff's Department Captain Eric Buschow told the Los Angeles Times.
He added: "He's [Rivera's son] in good health. The family is going through a very traumatic time right now."
Rivera last posted on Twitter on Tuesday, sharing a picture of her with her son along with the caption: "Just the two of us."
According to NBC Los Angeles, police said: "This is considered to be a horrible accident."

The publication also reported that Rivera's son was wearing a life jacket, but she wasn't.
Rivera's son is her only child, who she had with her ex-husband Ryan Dorsey. She also previously dated former Glee co-star Mark Salling, who killed himself while awaiting sentencing for child pornography possession charges.
Rivera played Vera in 2014 horror At the Devil's Door and also released a single the year before with rapper Big Sean entitled 'Sorry'.
