In the latest shocking video to come out of America, police in Florida are seen shooting a black man, who is lying down with arms in the air.
It comes at a time when race relations in the US are already tense.
The man in the video is Charles Kinsey, a therapist who works with disabled people. He was trying to get his autistic patient to return back to the facility he'd run away from, the Guardian reports. The video was released yesterday by Kinsey's lawyer.
North Miami assistant police chief Neal Cuevas told the Miami Herald that the police were responding to reports of a man threatening to shoot himself when they ordered both Kinsey and his patient to lie on the floor.

Even though the video clearly shows that Kinsey is doing as he's told and is lying on the ground, an officer fires three shots. One hits Kinsey in the leg. Before the shots were fired, Kinsey said he shouted: "Sir, there's no need to firearms." Neither man was found to have a gun on them.
Kinsey is currently in hospital but, thankfully, is expected to be out within seven days.
This latest video is sure to only add fuel to the ongoing strained race relations between America's black community and the police. The black lives matter movement has been out in force in the US in recent weeks as several high-profile killings of black people by police have been reported.
