An Instagrammer has shared an emotional video about the social media platform's decision to ban her account over an image deemed too 'sexual'.

Sally Mustang, an influencer from Australia, has recently announced that she is pregnant, and reportedly posted an intimate photo of her bump on the platform, according to The Sun.

Just days later, she was told her account was about to be deleted. Her boyfriend, Mitch Gobel, posted a clipped version of a video in which she could be seen visibly upset.

The post directed people to her new Instagram account to see the full thing, but that account has since been removed. It's not clear if it was removed by Instagram or Sally herself.

Sally said in the video: "It makes my heart so sore. I'm really scared. I'm five months pregnant and my whole livelihood has disappeared.

"It's my creative outlet. It's my memories. My voice, my community, my family, by businesses.

"It's all disappeared. To be five months pregnant and adapting to all the change that's going on already it feels so unfair. So harsh."

The images were used to announce the couple's pregnancy.

According to Yahoo, the original video continued: "I'm so, so disappointed in whoever's running the show there because I just don't understand what kind of message that sends out; that Instagram doesn't accept pregnant bodies? Or that being empowered and loving yourself if not ok?"

She added that she 'will not be silenced or agree with Instagram's absurd censorship rules'.

In a comment that was later deleted, Mitch supported his partner.

According to Yahoo, he wrote: "I want to be aloud [sic] to follow any women's experience of pregnancy because it inspires me, it educates me, it helps me see a bigger picture.

"It's NOT sexual. It's beautiful and I don't want that aspect of life taken away from what I experience on your platform.

"Pregnancy should be celebrated, not shamed and we want to see change."

She then went on to delete the video of her complaining about the ban from her new account. She posted: "Mitch's account was threatened to be shut down this morning so we are just going to be super easy going on here for a few days.

"Thank you to everyone that has left me comments, advice, heartfelt and for following this new account. I'll be active again as soon as I feel up to it."

LADbible has contacted Instagram for a comment.
