Prince Harry has been 'deeply saddened' to learn one of his biggest fans, Aussie woman Daphne Dunne, has died.
The 99-year-old had reportedly been in hospital for the last two months battling pneumonia.
Her family released a statement, saying: "[It had been our] honour and pleasure to see her bring so much joy to people from all walks of life and from all countries of the world.
"Her engagement at the Invictus Games and her most special meetings with HRH Prince Harry and his new wife Meghan, has brought her so much joy."
Daphne went viral around the world every time Prince Harry visited Australia, as she was always front and centre to say hello to him. She was also one of the very few people who would be allowed to get close enough to hug the Royal member.
The 99-year-old only just received a birthday card from the Duke of Sussex last week, where he wished her well.
The card read: "Dear Daphne, my wife and I send our warmest wishes to you on the occasion of your 99th birthday on Friday.
"We hope you have a wonderful celebration surrounded by family and friends and that you've managed to escape hospital.
"Congratulations on reaching this important and impressive milestone before your centenary year next year.
"Happy birthday, Daphne."
RIP Daphne, you'll be missed.
